Therapeutic Approach:
- I believe life is beautiful and challenging. As we navigate life’s twists and turns, our individual growth can help us develop a stronger sense of who we are, as well as strengthen our capacity and confidence to embrace the future. Strengthening connections and identifying our own values can enrich our lives.
- My therapy approach is client-centered, valuing authenticity and supporting client-determined values. I utilize various trauma-sensitive techniques and evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), internal family systems therapy (IFS), and body-centered somatic therapy.
About Me: As a child I called Idaho, Hawaii, and Utah home. As a married adult, my husband and I and our five sons put down roots in Utah, the Chicago area for 12 years, and now back in Utah. Our family has grown to include four amazing daughters-in-law and four precious granddaughters. I love spending time with my family, hiking, and walking with friends. I believe and honor each day as a gift.
